We are seeking a highly motivated Research Technician with demonstrated hands-on mammalian cell culture experience to join our multidisciplinary team. How you might spend your days:

  • Conducting high-throughput transient expression of antibody and alternative formats using mammalian cell systems and on our automated expression platform
  • Actively contributing to platform development, troubleshooting, and validation
  • Routine handling of mammalian cell cultures including stable cell line maintenance, transient transfections, freezing and thawing cells
  • Performing lab organization and maintenance tasks
  • Collaborating with teammates to solve problems, analyze, interpret and communicate data
  • Analyzing and presenting data to colleagues
  • Supporting and collaborating with members from various teams to meet project deliverables and timelines
  • Growing your technical skill set and engaging in professional development

Required qualifications and experience:

  • A BSc in Biological Sciences (Cell Biology, Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, or other relevant fields) with an additional 1+ years of experience
  • Hands-on experience with mammalian cells and strong knowledge in cell culture techniques
  • Excellent communication skills and problem solving 
  • Excellent documentation and organizational skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Hands-on experience in recombinant protein expression using transient and/or stable mammalian cell culture systems or other eukaryotic systems is an asset
  • Familiarity with antibody purification and expression plasmid design is an asset 
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team
